about us

Fort littlegreen is a non-profit 501(c)3 established in 2013.

Mission Statement: To provide high-quality nature education and care to the grade school youth of our community. By teaching the knowledge of self-sustained living, organic growing and environmental science, we can instill a love of nature for their lifetime.

The Fort has three areas of primary focus in addition to general camp recreation: Gardening, small animal care, and connecting kids to nature.

Located on 10 acres of nature preserve, Fort littlegreen has beautiful gardens, 4 acres of woods, fields and prairies, fruit trees, and an animal center that includes chickens, sheep, goats, ducks, geese, turkeys, a donkey and a peacock. Other animals include a cat, turtle, bunny, and hamsters! All of our animals are meant for children to interact with, care for, and learn from.

Meet us at “The Fort!” Freedom in the great outdoors awaits!

“Go out, go out, I beg of you, and taste the beauty of the wild.

Behold the miracle of the earth, with all the wonder of a child.”
